Hi! I'm Judy Cooper, a proud, lifelong "Decaturite"! My parents settled here as immigrants, raising five kids and founding the Decatur Super Liquor Stores. Following in their footsteps, my brothers and my husband also owned several businesses here. I am a graduate of MacArthur High School and Millikin University. My husband Howard and I have two daughters, Kim and Kelly. We decided that Decatur was a good place to raise our children as it provided them with a diverse culture as well as numerous community-based opportunities. While the girls have grown up and moved away, they return often, enjoying the tranquil lifestyle Decatur has always offered. As someone dedicated to community and family life, I have been involved in numerous committees and organizations. I have spent the past twenty plus years as a substitute teacher in the Decatur Public Schools.
